Laura Douglas, MA, LPC, CMHIMP, EMDria, AACC
Laura’s journey to becoming a therapist began through personal trials and working through the mental health system with her child. She experienced therapists that did more harm than good both intentionally and unintentionally. Early on she witnessed scenarios of over medication, diagnoses with no treatment plan and a true lack of support. As a parent she felt as though she had no choices and was determined to find better answers by going back to school to become a therapist. During this time she also found her way back to her faith.
Laura strives to create a foundation for her patients. To guide them and be the change, so no one feels lost and abandoned as a parent like she did. Laura runs her practice with an open and authentic heart and faith always comes before business. Laura is a part of the Northeast Community and she is affiliated with local hospitals and local support programs.
